I'm done feeling sad and paranoid about things I can't control, its killing me and it is'nt doing much good for those around me either, so yeah: trying to cut down on feelings of emo and angst I've had for the last 3 months -.-. In other news I am a sad little Earth monkey since my friend gave up work on his model of Invader Zim which pelvic thrusts when a button is pressed on its remote, he did the basic thrusting of the pelvis so I may take it upon myself to finish this noble task when I have the time :3. I won't bring up the sick and twisted idea a friend of mine proposed but I will say that it involves Gaz being 'involved' with Zim's pelvic thrust, then she decided it would be better to have to have Dib.

I was in photo manipulation class today and they told us to mess around with photoshop to figure out how to use its basic functions for a while (good point: I already know how to use it + 3 weeks of self training = Free 'screw around' time XD). One more thing is I am very saddened that a gamecube version of Timesplitters: Future Perfect has finally appeared in the pre-owned section of my local Gamestation and I have NO money to buy it since I already bought some stuff this week T.T. If it is'nt there next week I'm going to gut every person in Derby city, that way I'll be around 70% sure that I nailed the one who took my copy.

P.s: Shadow's offical site is very sexy (that picture on the main page is the one that's appearing on the final game case apparantly), it also plays four songs from the game (one being "All I am"), first and fourth tracks rock.

Well whatever, I'm recently reading the FMA manga at www.readmanga.com, so far it is absolutely fantabulistic, my favourite characters have got to be Both the Elric brothers and Roy Mustang (except for the promotion obsessed thing and why does'nt Roy fight much?) Hughes was cool until he was *SPOILER WARNING* shot *SPOILER WARNING END* -.-;.

I bought three Gamecube games in the past 2 weeks, they're all pretty old but still, I got Sonic Heroes (had it before, traded it in, wanted to play it again as it was cheap), Rainbow Six 3 (I loveths FPS's and SWAT team games) and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (same reason as sonic heroes). An odd combination but I'm an odd (insane) guy.

Ok so harvest moon, pretty good game, gets addictive really fast too. It has a 'wife-choosing' element where you must chose from three potential brides which are as follows:

Celia: Down-to-earth, cute, cheerful, kind, loves nature and working on one's farm.

Muffy: Flirty, good heart uhhh...blonde? I really have'nt read to much into this one.

Nami: Distant, mysterious, hard-to-talk-to, could care less about farm work, quiet and intelligent.

Now the first time I played I picked Nami because I was obsessed with Vegeta and other cold looking characters at the time, she's the hardest girl to get but eventually my "shower her in rocks and other stuff I dug up from the dig site" strategy paid off and she accepted the blue feather (wedding ring type thing) about 3 days before the first year ended x.x. I quit playing and traded the game in shortly afterwards because there were other games I really wanted to play. Well now I got it again and I'm going for Celia this time (Geezuz, I sound like a 'playa' or something -.-) she's the easiest girl to get, lets put it this way; I bought the game at around 5, its almost 10 now and I've already become engaged to her >>;. All I really did was shower her in vegetables I'd grown and flowers stolen from her own back-yard >>. I named my dog 'OMG' and my horse 'ROFL', my dude is called 'Kom' and my farm is called 'SHIZZLE farm' XD;. I think I might name my kid 'Riddick Jr' or something when he appears in the second year of the game because John Riddick is awesome to the highest degree.

Rainbow Six 3 on the cube scored lower than the Xbox version for some reason, I really can't see any differance. The game is great, some missions are annoying but other than that there's a bunch of fun to be had with it, especially on co-op mode.

Sonic heroes is ok, I'd probably like it more if I was'nt a huge sonic fan and aware of what sega are doing to thier most awesome franchise. As you all know I'm spazzing out about Shadow the Hedgehog because I still have faith in Sega, I probably will always have it because I am a sucker.

I have a huge blister on my left foot's big toe, IT HURTS X.X;.

I guess I'd better get started on my latest project on Tesselation (spelt correctly?) which is by no means my favourite but I'll give it a shot.

Ok I was going to post this the other day but I forgot what I was going to say so once I remembed earlier I swore grave oaths I would post it now and that is what I shall do:

Seriously; this past fortnight (the forntnight I leave my home-town and begin university life) I've had nothing but supreme bad luck. I told you the previous events that led me the believe this theory earlier.

Ok basically here's what's new; lately my room bulb has broken (only one in the block of course) so I'll have to get that fixed on monday, with this in mind along with all the other nasty luck I've had I go down to the bank to arrange an overdraft for my student account. On the way back I was crossing the road with a folder of important bank documents in my hand and notice that there are cars approaching so I decide to hurry up less I become a road-stain (cities are nice). Then suddenly I feel a huge push against the folder in my hand, the wind was suddenly blowing vigrously after a day of no wind at all, anyway, its really tugging at my folder but I keep hold of it barely and make it to the other side of the road with the folder intact *HOORAY*.

That was God trying to pull some practical joke on me, when I made it through unscathed I shook my fist at the cloudy sky and yelled "Is that all you got tough guy?! Don't make me come up there!" so as payback he blew my light bulb when I got back into my room.

Moral of the story is...wait a minute I'm hungry, I'm just going to go get some cereal and I'll be right back...

Called dudes to ask about why I'm the only one in the building with no fully functioning net connection like I said last time.

Dude called me back at 8 this morning waking me up and thus making me converse with him in IDIOT MUMBLY MODE.

So I make the impression of a technically challenged dumbass with this guy who was an asshole anyway and then I get the bad news. My mind was still suffering from fatigue at the time but I think it was something like this:

"I EAT BABIES! I also work for a university who HATE MACS and won't let them access ANYTHING! Obviously, OBVIOUSLY the ports you need to access these things are blocked and WE WILL NOT UNBLOCK THEM FOR YOU! YOU HEAR ME YOU LITTLE BASTARD?! WE ARE NOT UNBLOCKING THEM FOR YOU! Yeah! You'd love to play World of Warcraft after paying 35 freaking pounds for it would'nt you? Hah! Fat chance bub! BUB! You know I think I'm going to come over there and inject you with AIDS because I'm so bored, I mean, making people lives a misery can get boring after the first few suicides I cause! He did give me a long, boring lecture about how he's a discple of evil and impatiently awaits the day satan will claim earth as his back yard but I decided to leave that out.

To be fair the guy was'nt THAT bad but I still feel the need to leap at him with a cattle-prod.

Ok so WoW is reserved for when I'm at home only, OH NOEZ, it appears my home computer is too slow and rubbish to play WoW, this means I shall have to cart my entire G5 back with me on the train (several trains) whenever I return home. Its a thief magnet but I'll practically sit on it like a bird protecting her eggs, except a little more manly.

I am able to use the really crappy web messenger to keep in contact with everyone but it likes to randomly sign out (not too differant from the standard msn then) so thats a good point, one of the few this fort-night.

Anyway, I AM RELATIVELY HAPPY, I shall end this entry on this note:

UPDATE: Since I did'nt post a quiz result before I shall do so now!

Ok, ok here's the latest story:

I started university this week, I'm happy I'll be away from the parental naggings and the distinct smell of the elderly that comes with living in Woodhall Spa (the name pretty much speaks for itself, nothing but tree's and other such greenery here). I moved into the dormitories and made some cool new friends (one of which is in my flat, directly next door to be exact) and experienced live on my own, I thought nothing could bring me down...I was wrong...

From the first day things began to go wrong, the tv I brought along did not work meaning no Gamecube or Xbox, when I figured this out I was annoyed but shrugged it off thinking I'll get a new TV sooner or later somehow. The next problem is more severe, I had to install this crappy network cd on my new G5 before I connected it to the dorm network, I thought this was fine so I did it. Little did I know it would block every goddamn thing on my computer, the only thing I can do it browse the internet, MSN can't connect, neither can Yahoo messenger, Kazaa and Limwire won't connect but since they both practically channel viruses into your computer I can see why. I was so freaking pisssed off, without MSN there is no way of me talking to Jenny (my oversea's girlfriend), I found out later I was THE ONLY ONE who was having trouble using these services, everyone else in the dorm could log on fine, by this time I'm steaming with rage. Since I had some money and enough supplies to last a while I did the perhaps irresponsible thing of buying World of Warcraft, an online game a few of my friends play (been meaning to get it for a while now). I came home with the first copy and attempted an installation, it went fine until it got to the third disk when it deteceted a corrupt file, I tried it again to make sure and the same thing happened so I came to the conclusion I'd gotten a bad copy by sheer lack of luck, but I had no idea how unlucky I was about to become.

I took back the copy the same day and exchanged it for another copy which I took home, it installed like it should have done, I was convinced I had a working copy and my bad luck had ended (WRONG), when I signed on to make my account I found the authentication key was INVALID, I'm sure I put it in correctly so I thought it might be more bad luck (really really pissed off now) so I took it back the next day (today) and got yet another copy which I brought home and guess what?

IT HAD THE SAME FREAKING PROBLEM!

The authentication code was invalid on this copy as well, I also found that the same thing stopping me connecting to MSN etc is stopping WoW from connecting also, on top of that it won't allow me to connect to any chat rooms or anything either. Another problem is I gave my external room number to Jenny so she could call me, guess what? IT DOES'NT WORK!

*Shakes fist at the sky* GIVE ME A BREAK!

I called the IT helpline to figure out what the hell is wrong with my connection since I'm sure something is (otherwise everyone else would be having these problems as well), the phone rang for 2 minutes before someone picked up, I explained my problem to the guy who answered. He said he could'nt do anything about it right now (suprise) and that he would have someone call me back, I asked when the call would likely be, he replied that it would be within the day. Great, now I have to wait in all day to get this call so I can't return this stupid copy of WoW, I'm getting seriously sick of walking down that same street, the next time I'm in there I'm going to just ask if they have a computer there I can register on instead of continuing to walk back and forth from me dorms to the game store everytime it does'nt work.

I wish there was someone responsible for all of my bad luck so I could so very nasty and unfriendly things to him. *Reaches for his flame-thrower* I call this little angel "CINDERella".

UPDATEROO: Called the student tech support. The guy I called had no idea what he was doing so he said he'd get someone else to call me back. When I was called back this guy also had no idea what he was doing so he said he'd find someone who knew something about mac's then he'd get back to me, I stayed in my room the whole day waiting for him to call back but he did'nt, looks like I'll have to do the returning of the World of Warcraft tommorow, this makes it the third copy I've returned, I'm sure they'll be absolutely thrilled with that. This time I'm going to ask if they can test the authentication code on one of thier computers so I don't have to wander all the way to my dorm then all the way back if it does'nt work again (which is, knowing my current luck, very likely). I knew I should have bought it from HMV instead.

Ok I deleted that post as it was very premature.

Ok doky, I've had time to calm down, think about it and form my own solid opinion rather than having random thoughts darting around.

The Nintendo Revolution Controller.

I think the new controller is a big gamble by an big arrogant company, do I think it will turn out well? For the public: perhaps, for me: no. Shall I tell you why? No? Tough I'm telling you anyway. I've always seen gaming as a lazy activity, one where people can just sit back, relax and play some games (unless the game is challenging enough), with this new controller you have to be up and swinging the controller around like a crazed zealot. I have no idea how smash brothers is going to play with this controller but it will be interesting to find out. Scott Ramsoomir (creator of VGcats.com and source of the link in the first place) had basically the same thoughts I did (cursing Nintendo's stupidity then calming down to realise it may not be so bad). My ending thought is this: I don't like it but I'm willing to try it.

As always I'm hyperventilating over Shadow the Hedgehog, its not fair, 2 months or so and its mine, 2 months is too damn long. Jesus, the music from the trailers gives me goosebumps and its like...less than a minute of it, is that sign of unhealthy obsession or unbridled stupidity?

I've seen all the stuff about 'Sonic Riders', it seems like it might be fun but at the moment its a speck in the shadow of...well...Shadow!

I have to rant about Shadow some more or I'm going to go insane with the waiting.

I found out recently that the game is being released in the US on November 15th, even though there is a fat chance of that actually happening it would really REALLY suck if we suckers in England have to wait a month or so for it. If thats the case I'm going to NOT go to any of the sites I usually go to that would have any chance of saying anything about the game (fireball20xl, exterminatus now, VG cats, Ctrl + Alt + Del etc) for as much time as is needed for me to play the damn game myself, I'd rather establish my own opinion before looking at others.

Seeing those all the people with "Sega are cheap, they only gave shadow a gun because they wanted to make a dark game" theories must be feeling pretty silly right about now. Also I'm trying to find somewhere to download the frickin' Final Fantasy: Advent Children movie but with no luck, if I find somewhere I'll tell you what I thought of it next post.
